what's up?

Hey gang!

Ever sit around browsing the web in your pajammas, and you open a page/link and click "Open in a New Tab"? Well first off let's just say that's the best improvement I've seen to all the new browser upgrades. Also I just opened a new tab to google comparisons on Firefox to Google Chrome. Sometimes you open a new tab and it opens down the line of tabs, but sometimes it opens right next to the window you're working in.

I'm roaming around the internet, taking photos off my camera, updating my photo blog, and have the Galaxie "Nothing But The 90's" music station on for sound. MC Hammer "Have You Seen Her?" is on and it was just followed up with Kim Stockwood's "You Won't Remember This". Quite the mix!!

I only wanted to post to say I'm going to try and start posting more, and I think the new computer room will be helpful with that for some reason. But now that that's said, I'm off. Short post, but I mean really, you can't go wrong with a post that references MC Hammer can you? :)

jiggs dinner

Hi!

I don't know where the 300+ page views come from but thanks for visiting!! (Hopefully not all only Amy and JB, but I do appreciate you both! xo) Yay for useless pop culture and TV information and randomness about my life!

I'm out at mudders today, woke up to smell of Sunday dinner. Some people say Jiggs dinner, I say Sunday dinner, because we only ever had it on Sundays (after church of course, dressed in skirts and your colored tights). It was always nice to get home for lunch and there'd be soup and sandwiches, or breakfast for lunch! Just a change of pace I guess, but I remember it was always good. Cans of chicken noodle and flakes of ham sandwiches, mmm boy!  Anyway, on another note, I hate waking up to smells like that, I wish it wouldn't seep under the door.

I really want to blog about Canada: A People's History but I need more engery and time do to so. So right now, just feast your eyes on that Wikipedia page. CBC made thirty two hours of a complete history of Canada. Sounds boring right? It isn't, it's really interesting, and pretty much my favourite show to watch right now. JB and I are only up to the fourth episode or so, coming up to the year 1776. Even if you think history is boring, it's worth it to watch the first episode when they talk about 12000 years ago and people walking over the top of Earth. In a search bar one of the auto options is about watching it online, so maybe that's a possibility?

So what I will blog about is how the other day someone used the word "hanged" (in that someone was hanged... it was probably in that documentary mentioned above) and I said "Hey! How come they didn't say hung?" and JB said that's not proper or something. What! So I looked it up. What I can tell pretty much is that it isn't wrong but it isn't liked, and everyone uses "hanged" for executions, and "hung" as in "I bought a Yanni poster and hung it in my bathroom". Thank you, About.com.

Anyway it's time for lunch!

john travolta

Good morning!

I don't know how the topic came up, if we were talking movies or wigs but somehow John Travolta came up. I had asked JB if he saw that tabloid photo of Travolta last year. Here it is! He's bald on top like your typical dad baldness look. And guess what? I think it looks way better then that silly toupee that he seems to be sporting all the time! I vote no wig!

That is all.

iPad & photoblogs

So hi there, little blog update.

I don't have a topic, I'm really just testing out my main man's new iPad. FYI updating blogs are way better on a real computer. I've asked JB for some suggestions and all I got from him is that I should write about something "sports related". This is why you should have your own blog! He wrote a story at age 6 that I probably wouldn't write as well today (it was about a tulip!)

I wasn't going to link or write about searches but I can't help myself. I just looked up strep throat on Wikipedia. Careful, strep looks gross. I'm still getting over a cold or something and my throat is still realllyyyyy sore to swallow. My mother asked if I have strep throat and judging by these ugly ol tonsils in that Wiki page: I do not have it.

Guess what? My pal Ames has started a photography blog, called Snap Took! Please spend some time and check it out!! I'm playing along with her 52 week project on my other lil space: Light Gets In. So the moral of the story is please click those links!

That's enough for tonight, going to watch some Trailer Park Boys before bed.

Goodnight!

2012 and SNL

Ah 2012, hello!

So maybe I don't blog as much as I thought I would, but I still enjoy it. Amy was gearing up a new photo blog, and it made me think about mine and that I now have two just sitting idly by getting internet dust all over them.

Happy new year internet! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday season, and in the very least I wish that everyone got to sleep in past their normal alarm clock work wake up call. I did, more than once, it's almost shameful how late I slept today!  I had a good time, I had two Christmases one with my main squeeze and then another when my sister arrived home on the 25th. But now it's over!

So I can't find my iPod where most of my searches are, but let me tell you I'm still reading Cracked.com a few times a week, catching up on articles. Here's an oldie for you: 17 images that will ruin your childhood. I love seeing the Muppets in action! There's something about Pee Wee's Playhouse in there too, which has made me want to see if I can find the SNL sketch I saw this year, a Digital Short called Andy and Peewee's Night Out: it's hilarious .... edit: can't get a video to load because I'm in Canada and/or won't embed. O well. Search it, it's funny if you can find it. Anderson Cooper gets a shit knocking!

So that's it for now.
I will try to be more involved in the future, but I know I say that every time :)
Best wishes for 2012!
